Still not totally finished

It's been awhile since I've posted on here. It is still such an awesome feeling to walk into AnnaClaire's nursery with her in it. For so long, I waited for that time. It is an absolutely perfect room for our little princess. Believe it or not, it is still not completely done. For the most part... but we still have a picture to hang and a shelf to buy and hang. The picture is of AnnaClaire in April, sitting in her chair, being cute. She even matches her room! ;-)

I'll post pictures when we get the shelf and picture hung, (which could be awhile...)

AnnaClaire really likes her nursery. She sleeps in it all night, naps in it, and enjoys playing in it! Whenever we get her dressed, she helps open her closet doors, too!

AnnaClaire loves her nursery!!! Isn't she too cute in it? Well, this is the last post to this blog beacause... THE NURSERY IS DONE!!!!!!!! AnnaClaire is home, she was the last thing we needed to complete her nursery. We still need to hand a mirror and find a picture for above her changing table. I guess I should post those pictures on here too. So this isn't the last post... Check back in a few weeks!

It is DONE! Except we need to hang the mirror (which might be awhile, it's heavy so we need the handyman to do it--my Dad is NOT a handyman.) I have to admit it is REALLY cute! Especially with the wreaths and candles in the windows. Besides the mirror, we just need our BABY! 9 more days until GOTCHA DAY!!!

I will post pictures of the nursery when it is totally complete! If you want to see them, remind my dad that the pictures and mirror are waiting to be hung... For now, here is our sweet pea (I'm sure you have seen her way too many times! She's just so cute..........)

We are leaving for China on 12/7!!! REALLY SOON! We got TA on 11/20, CA date (12/18) and concrete travel dates on 11/21 and are traveling 12/7-12/20. We get AnnaClaire on 12/11. Hopefully her nursery will be done by then..wink wink...

We did get the lamp a few days ago... it is SO cute!

Floors and decorating :)

They laid the hardwood floors in the nursery (and hallway and my room) yesterday!!!! They look so nice. This meant that we could decorate the nursery today!!!! The first picture is of just the rug (I LOVE THIS RUG!!!!!!!). The second one is of a corner of the nursery. We don't have the curtains up yet and need a lamp. Then I'll add more pictures of the cuteness. I LOVE her nursery. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Sorry I don't have any pictures of just the floors.. I forgot to take some... but who cares about just the floors now that we have a pretty rug laying on top of them!!!!!!!!

The electricians came out and put a sweet beadboard fan in AnnaClaire's room! It is so cute and I love it so much. The electricians also put in a can light in the doorway, a smoke detector (new law: have to have a smoke detector in every room), and also put in the plug things and caps on them. So now, we just need those FLOORS! And then it is D-E-C-O-R-A-T-I-N-G time!!! WOOHOO! Our builder/neighbor found some floors that we like (prefinished...) and we are going with those. They are coming to install them on WEDNESDAY! YAHOO! Today we got curtains and curtain "holdbacks" and a rod to hang curtains over the window. We found them at the PB Kids store in South Park which was an added bonus: no shipping! :) They are so cute. I'll have to upload a picture of those tomorrow as well. I love them. The pole and holdbacks have a really sweet pink and green flower on them and the curtains are a pretty shade of green.

We went with Pink Petunia for the walls. I think it is the PERFECT pink. They also painted all the trim. Doesn't it look SO nice...and like a ROOM?? I LOVE IT! Now we just need the floors, and the baby!

New look - header

Well, I've gone with a new look. AKA my header. I made it on Photoshop yesterday. One problem: the NavBar cuts off the top of the butterflies. Anyone know how to take out a NavBar? If you do, comment and let me know how! Thanks

Here's what Miss AnnaClaire's nursery looks like for the moment!!! Looking more and more like a room!!! (The beadboard isn't painted yet. It will be white!)

Today the trim guy came! He put up the beadboard, chair rail, baseboard, closet doors, main door, windowsill, door frames, etc. It really looks good, doesn't it?!?!?!?!?! I just can't wait till we can set up our sweeties nursery!!!

Drywall is up, color is picked!

The drywall is up! (well it has been up for a few days now.) The pink is picked! Petunia Pink! We are coming alone!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the last picture, you can see the new window. It is 2 windows in 1 instead of one huge one. The other one wasn't code for a room because it didn't open, but I think this one looks way more bedroomish anyway.

More nursery updates!

Nothing STUNNING has happened with the nursery, but the electrician came out a few days ago and wired AnnaClaire's room for a fan and a canlight. The air people came on Thursday and put the vent in. We are making progress, but we have to have a new window because the other one didn't fit criteria, so we are waiting on that. Once that is installed, we can get the drywall people out. Then there will be a big difference in what the nursery looks like!

We also set up the crib in Mom and Dad's room!!!

It's looking good!!! A lot of progress was made today! The frame and floor are up! See for yourself. The next time there is work, it will be the electrician. He is coming out a week from Monday, so not for another bit. It's actually looking like a room though! We're loving it!!!!!!

Nursery: Day 1

Well, there's been a little progress! The workers came at 7:52 this morning. They had planned on getting the whole floor down, but the inner walls were not what they thought they'd be, so that didn't happen! The new wood comes tomorrow, but they did make some progress! See for yourself. **Each day I'm going to take a picture of her room, so that's what the bottom one is.

Here's the 2 story foyer! The floor of the nursery will start above the wall from the dining room.

THE WOOD IS HERE!

We are buliding on AnnaClaire's nursery. Right now we have a 2 story foyer. We are going to build her room over the foyer, so it will be a one story foyer with a nursery on top. It's kind of hard to explain, when blogger lets me post pictures, I will post them to show what I'm talking about.

Well! They delivered the wood for the nursery today, so I'm guessing they'll start tomorrow!!!!!

We're still looking at colors to paint it. I like "Sweet Taffy" best...
